Northern and Regional Economic Development (NRED) Program: Now Open Until Nov 19
Eligible projects will be led by Alberta municipalities, Indigenous communities and non-profit organizations that promote regional economic development and diversification. Canada-Alberta Workforce Resilience Initiative
This initiative provides financial support to eligible organizations for building a resilient workforce through the following two streams:
- Workforce Planning - supports sectors and communities to develop strategies for workforce transitions and transformations
- Employer-led Training – supports employers and industry associations operating in shifting global trade environments to train impacted employees

Strategic Edge – for entrepreneurs with established businesses, wanting to focus on a growth strategy.

Digital Edge – for entrepreneurs wanting to create & leverage a strong digital strategy
- Nov 19 – Mar 4 (bi-weekly on Thursdays from 9 AM – Noon)
Peerpreneur Fall 2026 Cohort: Applications Now Open
This Business Link program helps you connect with entrepreneurs navigating similar challenges and opportunities. You can share experiences, learn from different perspectives and find practical ways to move your business forward. You will gain a trusted network of peers who can offer support, encouragement and accountability. This community can help you stay motivated and focused as you work toward your business goals.
Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC)
- ICTC's WIL Digital – this program provides employers with up to $5K wage subsidies to provide a meaningful work-integrated learning placement to post-secondary students
- ICTC's AI Bootcamps - employers interested in adopting AI can hire a student and access wage subsidies of up to $5K, while receiving AI training and implementation support for supervisors and teams
Alberta Food Processors Association CareersNow Platform
CareersNOW is a new resource from AFPA for students, job seekers and educators, designed to showcase Alberta's food and beverage processing industry and the rewarding careers that help keep it moving.
Aboriginal Business Investment Fund: Deadline Oct 15
Helps Indigenous community-owned businesses capitalize on economic development opportunities to improve socio-economic outcomes. The fund can partially or fully fund capital costs for Indigenous community-owned economic development projects that are shovel-ready within the funding year.

Alberta Satellite Rebate Program
Helps eligible households in rural & remote areas connect to high-speed satellite internet. Eligible households can receive a one-time rebate of up to $1K for satellite internet hardware, installation costs and applicable taxes.
