Investment Data Hub: See attached info sheet
Now accepting members to the Login Portal that includes a Regional Comparison Tool to compare provinces and municipalities across Canada to one another and to U.S. states and cities across a range of metrics to assess their relative strengths and weaknesses. Economic developers and municipalities can request access to the portal by emailing economiclink@gov.ab.ca. An account will be set up with the email provided and a temporary password to login will be shared. 

Business Input Needed!!
Red Deer Polytechnic, Central Alberta First and the Red Deer & District Chamber have partnered on a project to identify emerging workforce trends, evolving skills needs, and technology impacts to inform future opportunities and initiatives for Central Alberta, and your help is needed to engage businesses to support this important regional project. The survey can be completed online HERE or businesses can sign up to be interviewed by a representative from Red Deer Polytechnic HERE

Pre-IRAP Program: This is a new program to assess and develop pre-IRAP clients, especially those who may or may not be IRAP-eligible, may not be ready/qualify for other funding programs or have questions around commercialization, market, or strategy.  MBA-level student teams (with executive oversight) work with the company to produce a focused IRAP readiness gap analysis, and address business innovation challenges. The service is free for the company and they retain any IP created. For more information or to refer clients to the program, email innovation@rdpolytech.ca.

Supports available to help scale the development of aerospace, defence, or dual-use technologies - explore funding, commercialization pathways, procurement, and partnership opportunities for Alberta companies operating in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, autonomy, cybersecurity, and dual-use innovation.

Indigenous Business Development – Access to Business Opportunities Funding: Call for Proposals Open until Oct 31
 
This funding is for regional initiatives that will provide tools and support to foster Indigenous entrepreneurship and is open to First Nation communities, Indigenous owned organizations and associations, labour organizations, and postsecondary institutions.

Indigenous Reconciliation Initiative: Closes Sept 15
 Funding to support reconciliation through indigenous-led cultural and economic development projects.

CIP Organizational Development and Collaboration Grant: Closes Oct 15
 
Individual Organizations Grant - up to $50K to single non-profit organizations for organizational development activities
Collaboratives Grant - up to $100K to address regional or sector-wide needs

Travel Alberta- Signature Investment Fund: Open for Expressions of Interest
 This fund is designed to bring high-potential tourism developments to life in Alberta. Signature Investments strengthen itineraries, close critical supply gaps, and create more reasons for visitors to stay longer, spend more, and explore year-round.

 CanExport SMEs: Application Deadline Extended to Aug 31
 
This program offers competitive funding to help eligible Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises expand into new international markets.
