Staying Up To Speed At The Olds/Didsbury Airport 

Mountain View County continues to develop the Olds/Didsbury Airport as an Economic Driver for the Municipality with lots of exciting happenings and future events. Below is an update on some of the current activities at the Airport!

  1. Mountain View County has recently auctioned off two lots at the Airport (Lots 48 and 49) at public auction. Stay tuned as we look to review the pricing for the remaining County owned lots. Contact us if you are interested in any of them!
  2. In an effort to make lots 39, 40 and 41 more appropriate for future development, lot adjustments are planned to combine the three existing lots into two that will facilitate appropriate groundside and airside access for each respective lot. This subdivision has been approved and Administration is currently working to have the subdivision endorsed and ready for sale.
  3. Photography and Marketing of the Airport will be continuing over the upcoming months. If you know of any upcoming events or activities that would showcase the airport, please reach out with your suggestions.
  4. The Mountain View County Aviation Advisory Committee continue to meet to review the short term and long term development of the Airport. Any input can be forwarded to any Elected or Public representatives on the Committee or directed towards County Administration.
